What are the advantages and disadvantages of Buzzlytics' marketing and sales program?

A young man in a plaid shirt with blue work apron stands pondering at a window. He holds his hand by his chin in a pensive pose, with a worried or doubtful expression on his face. He stands against a white brick wall.

You are convinced that your company needs to do more with marketing and sales, but you are still unsure about the best approach. After considering several options, you are now seriously considering our marketing and sales program, where you get the necessary knowledge in-house. But before you tie the knot, you'll want to review all the pros and cons.

As a marketing and sales coach, I have been helping companies get better results from their marketing and sales for years. I have coached companies both individually and in groups and was closely involved in the development of this program. So I know better than anyone the pros and potential cons.

In this article I will take you through the pros and cons of our marketing and sales program. After reading, you can make an informed decision whether this program is right for your business.

In this program you will learn how to create effective content yourself that generates leads and sales, without remaining dependent on external parties.

The advantages of the program

To be successful with our marketing and sales program, you must meet a number of conditions. Do any of the following apply to your business? Then this is probably not the right time to get in.

Advantage 1: Development of your own expertise

By choosing our marketing and sales program, you develop expertise within your own organization. Instead of outsourcing marketing activities to an external agency, you build internal knowledge that you can use for the long term. You learn how to create effective content yourself that generates leads and sales, without remaining dependent on external parties.

Advantage 2: More cost-effective in the longer term

Although the program - especially if you choose Growth or Mastery - requires a significant investment, in the long run it is more cost-effective than done-for-you marketing. With traditional marketing agencies, you pay monthly for their services without building your own expertise.

A concrete example: having a one-time professional video shot by an external agency can cost as little as 2,000 euros. If you compare this with the cost of an employed videographer, it can quickly turn out to be more advantageous. With the same marketing budget you now spend on external video production, you could produce many more videos internally and at a serious level.

Benefit 3: Learning from other participants from various industries

A big advantage of our program is that you learn from other companies struggling with similar challenges. During the group sessions you will share experiences, tips and best practices with other participants from different industries.

This will give you valuable insights that you can immediately apply in your own organization. The diversity of the participants sometimes gives you a completely different perspective on challenges, allowing you to adopt best practices from other industries that may still be very innovative in your industry.

What you learn in our trainings, you can use the next day.

Advantage 4: Hands-on training with immediate applicability

We offer an ideal mix of theory and practice. During the training sessions, you will learn the principles and methodologies that you can then immediately apply in your own business.

Our sessions are deliberately designed so that you can literally use what you learn the next day, whether it's marketing, sales or website optimization. This hands-on approach ensures that you immediately convert the knowledge you have learned into concrete results.

Advantage 5: Structured program with proven approach

Our program is based on years of experience training companies. We have seen that regardless of the industry, there are certain facets that are recurring and important to every business.

It is telling that in one day I sat with an IT person, someone from the healthcare industry and someone from the manufacturing industry who all three were running into the same problems. They thought they were unique, but in reality their challenges were similar.

In our program, you follow an approach that has already proven itself in tens of thousands of companies worldwide. You don't have to reinvent the wheel yourself, but benefit from a structured method that covers all the essential elements of successful marketing and sales.

Our marketing and sales program works for any industry.

The disadvantages to consider

Disadvantage 1: Less individual attention

Unlike one-on-one training, you get less individual attention in the group program. Although there is room for personal questions and challenges, you have to share this time with other participants.

You can minimize this disadvantage by actively using the weekly office hours. These are times when you can ask specific questions about your situation. By coming to these sessions prepared with specific questions, you can still get the personal guidance you need. Moreover, other participants will also learn from your questions, as they are likely struggling with similar challenges.

Tip: Use the office hours to ask questions about your situation.

Disadvantage 2: You have to get started yourself

The program requires an active commitment from your organization. You need to free up time and resources to put what you have learned into practice. This means you need to designate or hire people who will be responsible for implementation.

To deal with this effectively, we recommend meeting weekly with your team involved in the training program. In the Growth and Mastery programs this is facilitated in accountability groups, but in the other programs it makes sense to organize this yourself. That way you develop new habits and make sure you actually turn what you learn in the training into concrete results.

Disadvantage 3: Fixed program structure

The program follows a set structure that is the same for all participants. This may sometimes mean that certain topics are less relevant to your specific situation at that time.

To overcome this disadvantage, all recordings are shared. If a particular topic is not relevant to you now, you can skip that session and watch it back later when it does become relevant. Because agendas are available in advance, you can decide which sessions to attend and which to watch back later. This still gives you a degree of flexibility within the fixed structure.

You can slow down or speed up on your own initiative.

Disadvantage 4: Adapting to pace of the group

In a group program, you have to adapt to the group’s pace. For some participants, this pace may be too fast, while others would prefer to move faster.
We try to structure the program so that everyone can get something out of it, regardless of their pace. We intentionally keep the pace of the sessions a bit faster, but you can always slow down by skipping a session and watching it later.

In addition, you will always have access to all templates, manuals and information, so you can also move forward faster on your own initiative if you wish. Optimizing the different paces in the group has our continuous attention.

Getting started with marketing and sales: an investment that pays off

Our marketing and sales program offers a powerful way to develop marketing and sales expertise within your own organization. The combination of group learning, practical implementation, and knowledge sharing with other participants allows you to grow faster than if you had to figure everything out on your own.

However, the program does require a significant investment of time and resources from your organization. You must be willing to work on your own and adapt to the pace of the group. For companies looking for complete relief, a traditional marketing agency may be a better choice.

Companies that develop in-house expertise achieve better results in the long run than those that outsource everything.

At Buzzlytics, we have often seen how companies that choose to develop internal expertise achieve better long-term results than those that outsource everything. Our program can help your company take this step, too.
