This is what you can expect from content training at Buzzlytics
You have just started TAYA Mastery within your company and soon you will have your first content training. You may already have experience writing content, but the TAYA methodology is new to you. Understandably, then, you're wondering what to expect from content training. What does such a training course look like practically? What exactly are you going to learn? How much time should you set aside for it?
As a content trainer at Buzzlytics, I have already trained several content managers on how to write TAYA content. I not only know the theory, but also know exactly what content managers run into in practice and how to help them through it. Thanks to my direct experience teaching content training, I can tell you firsthand what to expect.
In this article, I'll take you through the practical side of content training. You will learn what your training looks like practically, what you will learn and what you can expect in terms of guidance during and after the training. After reading, you'll know exactly where you stand and you can start your training with confidence.
What does content training look like practically?
Individual or group training
First of all, it is good to know that content training can be done individually or in groups. This depends on whether you have chosen TAYA Mastery or TAYA Group Mastery. In the case of Group Mastery, you will receive the training together with content managers from other companies.

You may take the training alone or, for example, with a marketing colleague.
Flexible design
Training is always tailored to your company's situation. Sometimes content training is combined with other disciplines such as video training, website training or HubSpot training. This can mean that you will be trained together with a videographer or marketer, for example. The exact interpretation depends on which TAYA roles are already present within your company and what type of subscription your employer has taken out.
Online or physical
The trainings take place online by default. The advantage of this is that we can record the sessions so you can look back afterwards. For certain topics, a physical session may have added value. We determine this in consultation. In case of a physical session, the content trainer can come to your location or you can come to our office in Leusden.
Time investment
A training session lasts three quarters of an hour to an hour and takes place every two weeks as standard. You may temporarily have more sessions during the onboarding phase, such as weekly. In addition to the sessions themselves, it is important to set aside time to prepare for the sessions and process what you have learned. This falls within your normal duties as a content manager and consists of reading articles, taking courses in the community and applying what you have learned.
The content trainer always gauges your level of knowledge and adjusts the training accordingly.
What will you learn?
From basic to expert
The training begins with a thorough onboarding in which you learn to work with the key TAYA tools and methodologies. Think about the content compass, the content cover sheet and the TAYA quality checklist. You'll also learn what an ideal work week looks like for a TAYA content manager.
Practical skills
Furthermore, you will develop essential skills to become a good TAYA content manager during the training, as well as beyond during the TAYA Mastery track.
Consider, for example:
- How to determine which articles to write about
- How to interview subject matter experts (SMEs)
- How to optimize articles for SEO
- How to write other content, such as buyer's guides and lead generators
The content trainer always gauges your level of knowledge and adjusts the training accordingly. For example, are you already familiar with SEO? Then we spend less time on this than with someone who knows little about it. The content of the training is partly tailored to your needs and partly to the goals that were set for your company in the 90-day planning session.
Tip: As a content manager, you can become 'Certified Content Manager' as part of your TAYA Mastery track. You can combine this track perfectly with your TAYA Mastery track and such a certificate makes you even more valuable to your current employer and possible future employers.
The TAYA content training is more than just training - it is a personal development program that helps you grow as a content manager.
What does counseling during and after training look like?
Feedback on your content
You send your written articles to the trainer outside the training. That way we don't spend valuable training time going through complete articles. If you have any specific questions about feedback on an article you can of course always ask during the training.
Space for own issues
At the beginning of each training session, there is space to discuss your own challenges. For each question, the trainer considers whether it is best addressed in the training or in a coaching session. Questions that touch multiple disciplines or require strategic choices are often referred to coaching.
Additional content and support
After each training, if needed, you will receive relevant additional content such as links to articles, online courses from the IMPACT+ Community, or PowerPoint presentations. For urgent questions between trainings, you can always call or send an email.
Optimally prepared for your content training
The TAYA content training is more than just a training - it's a personal development path that helps you grow as a content manager. The flexible format, where the training is tailored to your situation and knowledge level, ensures that you learn exactly what you need.
As a trainer, I see time and time again how content managers grow quickly in their roles through our hands-on approach. Through the combination of training, personal feedback and additional support, I help you not only understand the TAYA methodology, but also apply it successfully within your organization.
At Buzzlytics, we have trained several content managers who are now independently producing high-quality TAYA content. Want to get off to a flying start? Then these articles are a good start:
