How much time do I spend weekly on TAYA Mastery?
The TAYA Mastery program is a collaboration between your team and ours. Buzzlytics' coaches and trainers have primarily an advisory role, teaching you how to develop mastery and take ownership of your content marketing.
As is often the case with these things, the more you put into the program, the more you will get out of it. The Buzzlytics team holds you accountable, but ultimately it's up to you to put forth the effort that ensures your success.
But what exactly is expected of you?
This is the time you should invest in your TAYA Mastery program.
Why businesses need to do it themselves
At Buzzlytics, we firmly believe that companies can and should take control of their content marketing efforts.
All too often we talk to companies that pay agencies handsomely to perform their content marketing tasks: producing videos, scheduling emails and monitoring their HubSpot portal. The worst part is that thousands upon thousands of companies have their content written by agencies - in our opinion, the soul of a company.
Instead of paying an agency forever, we train you to take ownership of your digital sales and marketing. In 12 to 24 months, you'll master it and be independent.
Our goal is to train you so that you no longer need our services. Our goal is for you to become independent of us and other external marketing agencies.
But you have to put effort into that. That's why training and "homework" are essential parts of the Mastery program.
Frequency of meetings and who should attend
You will have regular meetings with your coach, your account manager and content experts specific to your needs.
You can expect the following recurring sessions during your program:
1. Annual planning session (once a year, 2-4 hours).
Who should you bring: Your leadership team, head Sales, head Marketing
Who we bring: Your coach and account manager, and content experts
What to expect:: Annual planning sessions are a "deep dive" into the health and goals of your business. Your Buzzlytics team uses the Digital Sales & Marketing Mastery scorecard to set priorities, develop your one-page strategic plan (OPSP), work on goal setting and create a quarterly plan.
2. Leadership coaching sessions (twice a month, 45-90 minutes).
Who to bring: Your leadership team
Who we bring: Your Buzzlytics coach
What you can expect:: You can expect to discuss progress on quarterly priorities, initiatives and learning goals. This is also the time to address bottlenecks within and decisions made by your company.
3. Coaching by trainers (30-45 minutes).
Note: The frequency of these meetings depends on the length of your program. 12 months: three meetings per week; 18 months: two meetings per week; 24 months: one meeting per week.
Who should you bring: your HubSpot manager, content manager, videographer, and other contributors as needed
Who we bring: Buzzlytics trainers
What to expect: These highly practical training sessions will help your internal team master key digital marketing and sales skills. Buzzlytics' trainers will evaluate your team's progress and tasks completed and will assign assignments to further develop your team's skills.
4. Quarterly planning sessions (once per quarter, 1.5-2 hours).
Who should you bring: Your leadership team, head Sales, head Marketing
Who we bring: Your Buzzlytics coach and success manager
What to expect: During your quarterly planning sessions, both the Digital Sales & Marketing Mastery scorecard and priorities will be reviewed to help you plan your upcoming goals.
Each of these sessions requires your full attention - and may involve assignments.
Why assignments? And how many?
The assignments that accompany your TAYA Mastery program are designed to deepen what you learn during the coaching and training sessions. Often you will be asked to read a particular article or book, or watch a keynote from IMPACT+. At other times, you need to practice a task that is directly related to your training. For example, a 1:1 video, building a workflow in HubSpot, or brainstorming content topics. You then discuss what you did with your trainers.
How much time do the assignments take?
Your workload depends on your role within the company. As a leader, you will attend different coaching sessions than a salesperson. And as a content manager, you might wear different hats which means you go to different training sessions. For example, if you also manage HubSpot, you might attend both content training sessions and HubSpot training sessions, and your workload would increase proportionately.
There is no set curriculum; each client is unique. Company A and B have different needs and the assignments they receive reflect that.
Around the beginning, you usually spend a little more time, but in general, you can assume at least an hour or two of assignments per week - in addition to the time spent in coaching or training sessions.
Taking ownership is not easy, but you can do it
Just as having your own business brings extra work and unforeseen challenges, it also takes work to take ownership of your digital sales and marketing. The more time and effort you put into it, the faster you learn and the faster you progress.
Mastery depends on the energy, enthusiasm and dedication with which you and your team get to work with your coaches and trainers - and on the assignments you are given.
If you doubt that you are capable of investing the necessary time and effort, you may not be ready for TAYA Mastery. Think carefully before you take the plunge.
If you are willing to work and learn, TAYA Mastery will transform your business and bring unprecedented success.
