What can I expect from a HubSpot training?
You have joined our Mastery track with your organization and will participate in our HubSpot training from your position.
Chances are you're curious about what to expect from this. Because whether you're completely new to HubSpot or have been using the system for some time, learning new features takes time and energy. And you need to be able to free up that time in addition to your other duties. In addition, of course you want to know whether the training course is appropriate for your specific role and level, and whether you will receive sufficient support with implementation afterwards.
As a head coach at Buzzlytics, I mentor new and more advanced HubSpot users on a daily basis. In recent years, I have implemented the platform in various contexts and trained many marketing and sales people. So I know exactly what you might run into and how to best master HubSpot.
In this article, I'll take you step-by-step through what to expect from our HubSpot training. You'll learn how the training is structured, what topics are covered, and how much time you need to set aside for a successful implementation. I'll also explain how we tailor the training to your specific role and experience, and what support you'll receive during and after the training.
HubSpot trainings focus on actually performing tasks in HubSpot, with plenty of room for questions.
Online courses with a focus on practice
The HubSpot trainings at Buzzlytics are always online and conducted in groups. So you participate in the training with others who work with HubSpot within their companies. A key feature of these trainings is that we place a strong focus on practical application of the knowledge you gain. Most of the training is about actually performing tasks in HubSpot, with lots of room for questions.
Who is the training for?
We often see that the person who becomes responsible for HubSpot has one of these backgrounds:
- Marketing: to create and manage marketing campaigns
- Sales: for streamlining the sales process
- Operations: because of their structured, IT-focused background
There is no preference for a specific role. However, it is important that you can devote sufficient time and attention to HubSpot, as it is a significant responsibility.
Time investment and preparation
The training consists of online sessions of about an hour, once every two weeks. The preparation consists of two main components.
First, studying course materials. We look carefully at your specific level and select the right courses for it. The more experience you have with HubSpot, the less time this part takes.
The second component is hands-on implementation in HubSpot itself. This remains, regardless of your level, a substantial part of your time investment. After each session, you will be given concrete assignments to carry out for the next training session. These might include workflows to set up or reports to create. These hands-on assignments are essential to the learning process.
You will learn how to set up the right workflows, how to set them up effectively, and how to use automation.
What topics are covered?
Portal setup, cleanup and optimization
We start by checking and optimizing your HubSpot portal. Sometimes there are parts in the setup that are not fully completed or need improvement. We also look at data hygiene, such as cleaning up duplicate contacts.
Marketing automation strategy
A core component of the training is developing an effective marketing automation strategy. You'll learn how to set up the right workflows, how to set them up effectively, and how to use automation for better lead tracking.
Lead scoring and lead qualification
Lead scoring can be a powerful tool, but is often deployed too early. We'll help you determine if lead scoring makes sense for your organization at this time. If it does, we'll teach you how to approach it effectively. Is it still too early? Then we'll advise you when it's best to start.
Database management
Proper database management is crucial for effective use of HubSpot. This involves looking at integrations with other systems, checking that syncs are still running correctly, and ensuring that the quality of your data is maintained.
Reporting strategy
HubSpot offers countless options for reporting. We'll help you select exactly the metrics that are relevant to your goals. Then we'll teach you how to set up effective dashboards and create reports that are actually used in your organization.
Buzzlytics is not a HubSpot partner, but we can connect your organization with accredited partners.
What you need to know about our HubSpot approach
At Buzzlytics, we are not a HubSpot partner, and that is a conscious choice. We recommend working with both Buzzlytics and an accredited HubSpot agency.
HubSpot agencies have the technical expertise for complex implementations, are accredited and have completed specific programs. They lay the technical foundation that we build on. And that goes a lot faster with a good HubSpot partner.
Is your organization not yet working with a HubSpot agency? We are happy to put you in touch with partners we have had good experiences with.

Practical information
Required prior knowledge
You can enter the training at any level. However, we do expect you to take the HubSpot Marketing Software Certification and HubSpot Sales Software Certification as foundational courses. You can find these in the free HubSpot Academy.
Preparation and homework
Between training sessions, you'll work on hands-on assignments in your own HubSpot environment. These might include setting up a new workflow, creating a dashboard or implementing a lead scoring model.
Support during and after training
Even after the training, we remain involved. We can look with you if you get stuck somewhere, advise you on specific challenges and help you make strategic choices.
In our HubSpot training, you will learn only what is relevant to your role.
Personal guidance makes all the difference
At Buzzlytics, we understand that mastering (unfamiliar functionalities of) a new system can be quite exciting. That's why we provide extensive support, both during and after the training. We'll watch with you if you get stuck somewhere and help you make strategic choices in HubSpot.
Our HubSpot training is fully tailored to your specific needs and pace. By combining theory and practical assignments, you can immediately apply the knowledge learned in your own HubSpot environment. The online courses can be scheduled flexibly and we make sure you learn exactly the functionalities relevant to your role.
As a head coach, I have already helped many marketing and sales staff successfully implement HubSpot within their TAYA Mastery program. The hands-on approach and personal guidance ensure that you can quickly start working with the platform independently.
